Ninety Seven and Counting

Ninety seven Canadian soldiers have gave their lives in the war in Afghanistan.
Ninety seven sons and daughters didn't come home.
It is Remembrance Day today.
Please wear a poppy and take a moment at 11:00 AM to remember those who died,
and continue to die for your freedoms.
It is a small price to pay to honour their memory.

Post a CommentThanks for reminding us, Jinx. 97. It makes me so sad.
Me too, I know it is a small number where a war is concerned, but one seems too many.

OBAMA: You Betcha, My Friends!
I didn't get a poppy this year... I didn't see anyone selling them until Sunday when I was at Costco and I had NO cash on me.
But I did remember.
I am just reading this now, but I will take a moment to remember, and to pray. It is ridiculous that we will take Canadian soldiers to fight in our wars, but will not allow Canadian's to vote.
If we are going to take them as soldiers, then we may as well make them dual-citizens,I mean, really!!
